New Zombies Confirmed for Call of Duty: Black Ops

Two days ago our newest staff member, Andrew, brought to light the latest in a string of Nazi Zombies rumors, this one courtesy of Brady Games. Always the cynic, I made sure to point out my suspicions that Treyarch would use our favorite undead brownshirts in a game set in a different time period - namely: Call of Duty: Black Ops, which features the Vietnam War and Cold War eras.

Today my apologies go to Andrew, whose gut has served him well. Zombies are returning in Black Ops, not only as a Hardened and Prestige edition add-on, but also as a lore continuation. A teaser website is online - showing footage from what is presumably both old and new zombie content - and a press release went out today.

Furthermore, it is now confirmed via the press release that the Combat Training 'bot match' co-op mode will support up to six players. Combine this with the splitscreen online news from last week, and Treyarch is really starting to show its colors when it comes to co-op friendliness.

You can visit this post to see an updated recap of co-op modes that will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops when it hits stores November 9th.
