Despite the potential shattering of reality, Koei's Warriors Orochi crossover series has successfully combined the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors universes twice so far. Now the third Orochi game, Warriors Orochi 3 (aka Orochi Musou 2 for some reason) will be unleashed on western shores. But are we ready for all the hackin' and a-slashin'?
Warriors Orochi 3 features a huge arsenal of characters, including some cool guests characters from non-Warriors series:
- Achilles from Warriors: Legends of Troy (Okay, so this one is a Warriors game. But come on, Greece!)
- Ayane from Dead or Alive
- Joan of Arc from Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War
- Nemea from Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll (I have never heard of this.)
- Ryu Hyabusa from Ninja Gaiden
Warriors Orochi 3 features local split-screen co-op in Story and Free modes. It even has online play this time, though apparently players can only cooperatively take on stages they have already unlocked offline. The game has no release date yet, but Co-Optimus will let you know as soon as it's announced.
