Borderlands 2 received a a rather large patch today. The 3 MB patch offers better Badass Rank protection, reduces the level cap for DLC raid bosses in Normal Mode, fixes the Fleshstick leveling exploit, and it also alters how Amp damage is applied to projectiles. Basically, they nerfed the Bee Shield, so I hope you didn't spend too much time farming it. You can see a full list of the patch details after the break.
Raid boss battles should be interesting. Players will have to work together and use a loadout other than the heavily abused Bee Shield/Conference Call combo. I played around in Pandora earlier today and I can confirm the Bee Shield's Amp damage has been greatly reduced. I also jumped into Normal Mode to check out the raid boss missions Looks like they are capped at level 30, which means they'll probably spawn at around level 32. Don't get your hopes up, crystal farmers. They won't drop seraph crystals in Normal Mode.
The patch also adds a new feature to the Badass Rank system. Now you will be able to reset your Badass Challenges once you've "completed 85% of all non-DLC, non-area-specific challenge levels." You'll retain your Badass Rank and Bonuses, but now you'll be able to complete all the challenges again, for even more bonuses. The option to reset your challenges will appear on the Badass Rank menu screen once you've met the requirements. This may be Gearbox's alternative to raising the level cap.
