Has a splitscreen option on Left4 Dead been confirmed? On Xbox.com, it seems to indicate there is 2 player offline mode but they've been wrong before which is annoying considering MS's official Xbox site should have accurate info. I think Doug Lombardi said that its a feature he wnated to include but couldn't confirm it. None of the E3 preiews mentions the option.

I know split-screen is the redheaded step-sister of online, but I personally enjoy a good offiline splitscreen game with my freinds in person.

I hope so, for a friend's sake. He doesn't have too many Live friends, so he's pretty much relegated to playing co-op stuff with his wife on the couch. I'll be finding out at PAX for sure. Keep a lookout for our live reports.

Splitscreen on the Xbox version only. That's what I was told at E3.

Demo Details on IGN, but still no date for the demo. Early November they said..so here's waiting...

I really hope they have at least 1 map available to try the co-op features since it seems like that is the main selling point of this title. I have some friends that are iffy on this title but I think playing a co-op demo might get them hooked.

They have already confirmed, the same map will be for co-op. The maps are not separated.

Hope they announce something soon.

Anyone know what the gameplay will be like? I heard the aiming won't be like Halo, not as accurate. I heard the aiming will be more from the hip so to speak.

Can anyone confirm this? I mean that sounds interesting, but doesn't that mean you won't hit that many zombies?

Or does that just mean it's faster-paced and so most of the time, you are shooting from the hip?

Would it be safe to assume that the gameplay would be similar to Half-Life 2? I haven't heard anything one way or t'other, but being that Valve is making it, it doesn't seem like a huge leap.

No doubt this is the Co-op game most anticipated for me as well as many others, and split screen on the 360 is a great feature, I think many of my "non next gen console owning" friends will be all other this.

amazon has it on presale for 10$ off with free shipping.. I think it might end today. I look forward to the game.

POST IMPRESSIONS!

Well, played it for a few hours last night. Very fun game. Played split screen with my girl and her brother. Its just amazing to be walking through an alley and then the music gets a little bit more intense.. next thing you know, 50 zombies come running down the alley toward you. The demo is quite short unfortunately but this didn't stop us from playing for hours. The replayability is great since the game always changes when and where stuff happens.

The damn witch is crazy and Tanks are near indestructible on Extreme mode.

How are the controls? How does it feel? Is it natural, is there a learning curve?

What is different between playing with the AI and playing with your Co-op buddies? (What can your buddies do that the AI can't).

Because you can tell all that from a short demo!

Yeah we're all excited JG, just wait a few more days...

Wow that's pretty weird, I did mine through Amazon too but mine's $58, not $48. Also mine says estimated delivery date is 11/24. Wonder if it'll really take that long. I'll have to wait a bit I guess, but I refuse to pay for same-day shipping or anything like that.

The nice thing is, if you did preorder through Amazon, you'll get the lowest price it was available for.
