Gears 5

The Co-Op Experience

Gears 5 will feature three different co-op options:

• Campaign Co-Op (3 players max) - team up locally or online with friends to play through the entirety of the campaign. Combo co-op (i.e., couch co-op players teaming up with another player online) is supported for this.
   
• Escape (3 players max - ONLINE ONLY) - a new co-op mode for the Gears franchise, play with two other buddies online to plant a bomb in a Hive and then make your escape. Each player chooses one of three characters to play (Mac, Lahni, Keegan), each of whom has their own special ability to help the team.
   
• Horde (5 players max - ONLINE ONLY) - the familiar Gears co-op mode returns with many of the same systems in Gears 4, and the introduction of new player abilities. Build defenses, collect power, level up your skills, and work as a team to survive.

Description

The world is crumbling. The Swarm has corrupted the Coalition’s robot army and is descending upon human cities. With danger closing in, Kait Diaz breaks away to uncover her connection to the enemy and discovers the true danger to Sera – herself. Kait hasn’t told anyone about the Locust necklace her mother gave her before she died and the pressure of this secret is eating her alive. These tensions bubble under the surface as the squad fights off the Swarm and learns about Kait’s past.
