Codemasters have release some brand new screenshots as well as the first developer diary for the upcoming 4 player co-op tactical shooter, Operation Flashpoint: Red River. The sequel to last year's Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising will feature all new characters to play as in a squad based combat set druing a fictional war.

The first batch of new screenshots for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception have made their way into our digital world after being featured in EDGE magazine and boy are they looking nice. We are even seeing a lot of cooperation between some main characters in these screens, but still no co-op in the story for us. That's okay, we'll take Drake any way we can get him - even if I really want to play as Sullivan.
Gamers should get a kick out of the post apocalyptic PC title APOX, if for not other reason than the seamless blending of two co-op favorite genres. APOX takes the real-time strategy elements we love like resources, base-building, and strategy (also fast paced battle, duh) and blends those elements with individual unit commands that you might see in a Shooter. Things like using cover, raiding bodies, or getting in and out of vehicles, all blended seamlessly.

It is available on the Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, and will support two player local co-op.
The month of January is coming to an end, which means it's time for a new batch of content for PlayStation Plus subscribers. If your auto-download feature is turned on, you can expect a demo of the co-op game Tales From Space: About a Blob. There are a few single player games that will be free to PlayStation Plus members, including Digger HD, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and the PS3 Mini, Karimogi. Monday Night Combat has launched today via Valve's Steam service. The PS3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops just received a hefty patch, bringing its version number up to 1.06. Some of the bigger fixes for co-op players are improved Zombie mode connection quality and stability, improved host migration, fixing of various issues related to combat training - including using friends names as bots - and more.
