In a sort of competitive co-op spirit, Red Dead Redemption has a challenge for you. The challenge is simple: collect XP through any of the multiplayer modes available in the game. The goal here is not only to boost your own XP in the game, but to accumulate XP as a console. So the Xbox 360 and PS3 will tally all of the XP earned by players to see which console is truly superior in the Rockstar Wild West.
Everybody gather around, it’s time for some limited DLC. To celebrate the launch of LittleBigPlanet 2, MediaMolecule is offering up some very limited DLC for one week only. Sure it’s likely a ‘reward’ for preordering or buying the game early, but it’s got a little quirk to go with it.
It looks like the crowds on Call of Duty: Black Ops may be cheating to the point that Activision is threatening to pull the plug on all of the online servers. While the cheating is happening in multiplayer versus matches, if the servers go so does the co-op mode.
It’s time for Team Ninja to start tackling the handheld market with their much loved Dead or Alive franchise. Dead or Alive: Dimensions puts a 3D mix on the series on the 3DS, complete with a co-op mode. Dead or Alive producer Yosuke Hayashi has stated that Team Ninja has been anticipating a portable title for quite some time - so it should be a good one without just being 3D pretty.
Shogun 2: Total War's release date (March 15, 2011) is fast approaching us. Will you fight your way to the top through honor or treachery? Will you follow the way of Bushido or Chi? Will you rely on strength of arms through your generals or guile through your assassins? These are the types of questions you should be asking yourself as you watch the new Shogun 2 Campaign trailer which shows off a lot of the intriguing features of the next installment in the revered Total War series.
The twin-stick shooter is becoming ubiquitous on XBLA and PSN. It takes quite a bit for a game to stand out from the rest of the dual-analog pack. Microbot does just that with a unique setting: inside a human body. But is there more to it than just the novel environment?
Bulletstorm is still a little more than a month away. The violent game has already sparked a heated debate in our fourms. Today we bring you two new videos to whet your gore appetite. The first is a technical demo from developer People Can Fly. It shows how the attachment mechanic makes up the different look of the cannon fodder in Bulletstorm. The latter is another "Skillisode,' wherein some of the available skill shots are put on display. Enjoy!
What, pray tell, is this? The interwebs are a buzz with the sounds of speculative flies. (Get it? The internet is like a spider web, and we're all just insects trapped-- oh never mind.) This bad boy showed up recently and Epic doesn't have much, if anything, to say about it. Even Cliffy B hasn't tweeted about it, yet, and he tweets about everything. Rumors are running rampant, from pre-Gears of War 3 DLC a la Dead Rising 2 to a possible Kinect connection. Whatever it is, I hope it blatantly rips off Capcom, because that would be hilarious.
The incredibly popular Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is on sale for one day only, and that day is today. Head on over to your Apple App Store or Android Marketplace for your copy. It's only a buck! Make sure your phone meets the system requirements. The install is a doozy. And you know I'm serious, because I never use the word "doozy" lightly. Dungeon Defenders: First Wave supports four player online co-op.
Hot on the heels fo the Nintendo 3DS launch announcement this morning comes fresh media from Capcom on what may be the only co-op title to hit the system in its launch window - Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. Sadly, as what's going to be an issue with all of the games on the 3DS system, the promotional media won't be viewable with its awesome 3D effect. I even tried putting blinking opposite eyes in rapid succession and it didn't help.
