Alas, after over a decade of uptime, Criterion Games has announced that they'll be shutting down the servers for Burnout Paradise later this year. If you were planning on completing those last few challenges on your list or getting nostalgic with some friends, I'd recommend doing it soon.
December may be a time of giving, but with Games with Gold every month feels a little like Christmas. There have been plenty of co-op games that have been given away for 'free' in the past and December 2016 is no different with Burnout Paradise and Outland amongst the games on offer.
During the Microsoft E3 press conference this year, they announced that the Xbox One would be getting an update in the near-future to allow for backwards compatibility so you can play your favorite Xbox 360 games on the newest gen. If all goes well, Burnout Paradise may be one of those games.
Actor Harold Ramis, most widely known as Dr. Egon Spengler from the Ghostbusters films, recently passed away at the age of 69. In memory of his passing, Burnout Paradise is offering a one day sale of its Legendary Car DLC (normally $4.99) for free. While the pack includes four famous cars (which you may then bank off of a median and blaze into oncoming traffic), the real deal here the Hunter Manhattan Spirit inspired by the Ghostbusters vehicle, affectionately known as Ecto-1.

Criterion is really cranking out the DLC now, as the Burnout Paradise Toys packs has been released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC for the 8 player co-op racer. What, you aren't surprised about this pack? Right...that's because it actually leaked out a few weeks back.

You priced the best car in the pack double that of the others. That's right, you'll be dropping $4 on your mock-DeLorean car in Burnout. I'd honestly be willing to pay it if these were actual license vehicles, instead of knock off cars.
