As another month draws to an end, this can only mean one thing; what is next month's Games with Gold? The collection of free Xbox games for Gold members has been a cacophony or co-op and this will not change in the month of May with the news that CastleStorm: The Definitive Edition will be on offer.
Zen Studios announced earlier this year that a new version of their awesome co-op title, CastleStorm, would be making its way onto PS4 and Xbox One. Finally, we received confirmation that, in about a week, CastleStorm: Definitive Edition will be released for those of us that missed out last generation.
Zen Studios' 2D destruction game CastleStorm will be ported to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Branded CastleStorm: Definitive Edition, the game will feature new battles, modes, spells, and other features. Check out the teaser below.

Originally released on the XBLA and PC, CastleStorm is a love child between the noble-blooded tower defense genre, and the street-raised brawler. One wonders if the boardroom discussions regarding what kind of game to make were split between people that really enjoy Final Fight, and those who are super into Angry Birds. CastleStorm on XBLA is an addictive tower attack game by Zen Studios which may have had dubious co-op elements, but is a great single player experience. The latest From Outcast to Savior DLC aims to improve both the single and co-op elements of the game with new weapons, characters and levels.

CastleStorm is on the way! Developer Zen Studios recently announced the genre-bending action/brawler/tower defense game will hit Xbox Live Arcade on May 29th. Accompanying the happy date are a few new screenshots as well as a release video, which is about ten seconds of the date flying around sandwiched by twice that time in studio logos. Great Britain has lots of castles. In fact, we have too many of them and could do with some being attacked and destroyed in a Ye Olde Fashion. People of a destructive nature will be able to brush up on their siege skills with the upcoming downloadable title CastleStorm. I would help bring down a fort or two, but I actually like the shops around Windsor Castle, so these new screens will have to do.
