Dark Souls 2 received the promised patch a couple weeks back, and it seems to have brought with it more than just what was initially detailed. Specifically, a new boss and a new ending have been added to the game. For those who may be wary of such things, there be spoilers ahead.
Congratulations to Dark Souls 2 for taking home the 2014 Golden Fitty award for Best AAA Game here at Co-Optimus. Our favorite game of last year is getting a bit of a face lift with The Scholar of the First Sin edition, due out on Xbox One, 360, PS3, PS4, and PC sometime this April. Packing in all three DLC's, as well as some new goodies, this definitive issue of DSII is being primed to totally wreck us and our brave undead cohorts with a new patch launching on February 5th.
It's time once again for our Co-Op Game of the Year Awards. We look back at 2014 as a fairly mediocre year in terms of co-op game. While we had high hopes for many games, there were no true must have stand-outs. That's not to say there weren't some great games, it's just compared to previous years this one seems slightly more forget...
Namco Bandai announced a set back their plans to release the third of the Dark Souls 2 DLC trilogy, "Crown of the Ivory King". Though originally scheduled to be released tomorrow, September 24th, the DLC will now be delayed about a week and buyers should be aware.
The temperatures are getting cooler as Summer winds down to Fall, but Winter is coming to Dark Souls 2 in the next DLC called Crown of the Ivory Tower. The content may be the greatest departure yet in both look and features for Dark Souls 2, but rest assured, it'll still be one of the most difficult challenges to date.
You know how philosophers are always debating if the true nature of man is to help his fellow humans or to harm them? I'll pretend you said "Hell yeah, I was JUST reading about that!" It turns out a little video game known as Dark Souls 2 might be letting some of our innate benevolent tendencies to leak out. In a world of jerks and trolls and jerktrolls, it looks like some people are actually interested in cooperation!
The next Dark Souls 2 DLC has hit and once again FROM Software has delivered a whole new world of pain for everyone in Drangleic. The Crown of the Old Iron King brings players to Brume Tower, a monolithic spire held to the world by giant chains. Like the previous content it is packed with new enemies, fierce bosses, and challenges that live up to the Dark Souls name.
A month felt like a long time for the next piece of Dark Souls 2 DLC to come out; fortunately, the wait is over. The latest content to the kingdom of Drangleic will take players into the realm of the Old Iron King (before he became Diablo) and the dark mysteries that lie within.
It is time to delve into the world of Dark Souls 2 once more with the first of three DLCs, the Crown of the Sunken King. Set in the city of Shulva, which looks like a cross between an underground cavern and Mayan pyramids, the DLC mixes the best parts of Dark Souls 2 and the original Dark Souls.
Are you a glutton for punishment? Our Co-Optimus staff sure is, and that's why we are very excited to hear that developer FromSoftware has finally released the first of three Dark Souls II DLC's, Crown of the Sunken King, today! As the very first portion of The Lost Crowns DLC trilogy that will be coming to Dark Souls II in the comin...
Quite a few members of the staff here at Co-Optimus are fans of the Dark Souls game. Others, less so. For those of us that are, some good - albeit surprising - news arrived from publisher Bandai Namco: Dark Souls 2 will be getting additional content after all.
