If you thought DOOM Eternal was going to be the only way to get your digital demon-slaying needs met in 2020 and that you’d have to suffer through doing it solo, think again. The developer says that Dying Light’s newly announced Hellraid DLC (trailer below) will “be your ticket to Hell and back. No, it’s not a metaphor. You will be literally hacking through demonic hordes of Hell.” Sign me and my friends up.
Dying Light 2 may be well on its way to a Spring 2020 release, but that doesn't mean the original Dying Light has run out of steam. As a matter of fact, the end of the first game's life cycle has allowed the developers to get pretty weird with things, as shown in their latest Halloween event.
In a YouTube video announcement, Techland, the team behind 2015’s fantastic zombie-parkour experience Dying Light, announced the sixth free content update to the game: "Snake in the Grass." While this update adds no Co-Op specific features, the entirety of Dying Light can be played in Co-Op with up to three friends, meaning that everything added are Co-Op friendly additions (wahoo!).

While it feels like the only times we're reporting on Techland's Dying Light is to say its currently on sale via Deals with Gold or Steam, the Polish developers have been doing a lot with the title to help fans interested and playing. In celebration of the fact that two and a half years since its release, and boasting 500,000 players weekly, Techland is working on 10 new pieces of DLC for the title.

After the successful launch of Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition, developer Techland has announced they will be releasing more content before the year is up. Although there aren't any details on what to expect, I'm sure we will get some fun new ways to obliterate zombies with friends.
Coming in at twice the geographic size of the base game, Dying Light's next DLC, "The Following", can seem a little overwhelming to any would-be zombie exterminators. Trust me, I know the feeling. You start to think back to all the places you didn't see when you first played the game last year, then you consider all the DLC's extra content, the new daily quest system, and all those zombie heads just ripe for the kicking. Next thing you know, you've quit your job, moved to Ecuador, changed your name to Ernesto, and purchased enough tortillas and rice to tide you over for the next 6 months, which should be just enough time to fully explore everything.
Folks who tuned into Twitch this past weekend may have found Techland, the developer behind Dying Light and the original Dead Island, playing through some maps created by the Dying Light community using the tools the developer put out there. Aside from an excuse to play the game, the developer was taking a look through many of these maps as they plan to bring them over to the console version of the game.
By this point, plenty of Dying Light players have fully taken it to the zombie-laden streets of Harran. The main quest (and DLC) are probably long since completed, and those dedicated gamers are left with little more to do than twiddle their thumbs and make up their own games for entertainment, like "Soccer, but with a Zombie Head", "Zombie Tag", "Name that Zombie", and "Basketball, but with a Zombie Head". Luckily, Techland planned for just such an occasion.
