Evolve Stage 2 Going Extinct in September
If we're all being honest with one another, this is a day that felt like it was just a matter of time. 2K has announced that Evolve Stage 2 will be shutdown on September 3, 2018.

Last summer, we were all surprised to see Evolve make a revival in the form of Evolve Stage 2. The 4vs1 FPS shifted format from being a $60 paid title to a free-to-play game with some enhancements and some slimming down from everything it offered. A co-op mode was added just last month, but sadly, it seems that none of this was enough to keep the game going. As of yesterday, Turtle Rock Studios will no longer be handling its development.
Evolve Stage 2's latest update, 2.11, has been delivered to the swarming masses, and with it came a couple more foes for the co-op crowd to mercilessly hunt down - the Gorgon and the Meteor Goliath. Neither is new, of course, as the duo was available in The-Game-Of-Which-We-Do-Not-Speak, but it sure is nice to have some more options when setting up a match in the game's new "Coop vs AI" queue.
Earlier this month, Turtle Rock added co-op to Evolve Stage 2 and hinted that there may be in store. A few days ago, they revealed what that additional co-op may look like with "The Deepest Dark."
With the whole rebranding/relaunch of Turtle Rock's Evolve - now called Evolve Stage 2 - last month, the one feature we noticed that was missing was any option to play the game purely cooperatively. The most recent update has rectified that by adding a co-op option back into the game.
