Amidst all that talk of how the Windows version of Final Fantasy XV will take up 170 Gb of storage space for the highest of res graphics, there was an interesting little tidbit that popped up on the Microsoft Store listing for the title. That particular version of the game will allow you to team up with friends on the Xbox One to play the Comrades content together.
After a delay and a closed beta this past summer, "Comrades," the four player co-op expansion to the otherwise single-player Final Fantasy 15, will finally arrive next week. You'll get the expansion automatically if you own the Season Pass, otherwise you'll need to drop some money for it, which should be somewhere in the $16.99 to $19.99 range.
Last year we learned that the latest Final Fantasy title, Final Fantasxy XV, would be getting some online co-op DLC at some point. It seems that time is nearly upon us as there will be a closed beta test of the "Comrades" DLC starting next Thursday, August 3 and ending the following Tuesday, August 8.
Everywhere you go, Final Fantasy XV is there. Square-Enix has been aggressively pushing the game in the last weeks before release, showing off trailers and screenshots and announcing all sorts of content updates for the future. Before you put up your blinders and go back to playing co-op games, here this bit of good news: online co-op is coming to Final Fantasy 15. Now it's safe to board the hype train.
