We first previewed the local co-op title Islands of Wakfu back in 2009.  This was before PAX East and PAX Prime, it was just called PAX. You remember 2009, right?  Tiger Woods was still the number one golfer, Avatar was in theaters, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the best-selling game in the world.  

You probably don’t remember this one, but we previewed Islands of Wakfu back at PAX 2009 - and then we didn’t really hear anything about it. Apparently that was because the developer Ankama was hard at work finishing up the local co-op Xbox LIVE Arcade exclusive.

At PAX 2009, we got a behind the scenes look at Islands of Wakfu, a co-op action adventure game with a series of unique magic elements, a dragon, and teleportation. A year later in development and Wakfu’s stylized art has been made into an official trailer - and boy does it look shiny.
