I've been hitting the gridiron, almost nightly, in Madden NFL 10's co-op mode. We'll be having a full review of that later this week, but until then you'll want to check out GameTrailer's coverage of the mode.
With the inclusion of an online co-op mode in this years Madden game, comes the inclusion of co-op Achievements. Interestingly enough, the PlayStation 3 trophies for the game are entirely different and none are co-op specific.

NFL fans will be excited to learn that Madden 10 has an "NFL Franchise" system, where 32 people join up for some online rumble time according to real NFL schedules. Though this isn't exactly co-op, new innovative ways to bring players together is fine by us!

Although the spirit of football is competitive, it's refreshing to finally see co-op open up in a popular sports game. Game developers talk about the decision to add co-op to the long-running Madden franchise, emphasizing playing with others and having fun instead of competition with the usual trash talk.
