After Marvel’s Avengers movie broke bundles of box office records, fans naturally wondered at the lack of a tie-in game. Ubisoft saw an opportunity and quickly announced their own motion-controlled game titled Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth. With such a rushed development schedule and its licensed nature, the quality of the game obviously comes into question. But seeing its array of Marvel characters and co-op, we had to give it a shot.

Ubisoft have just revealed the full character lineup of their Marvel Avengers Kinect game featuring 20 playable heroes from the comic book universe.  Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth is set to be released on October 30th and has players choosing a hero to play as in a fighting game powered by Kinect.  Yuuuuup - you're gonna be jumping around your living room pretending to be a comic book character to play this one - it's ok, we know you do that anyway in your feetie pajamas.

Remember The Avengers? That was the superhero movie everyone was hyped about earlier this year. I know any memory of that particular film has been thoroughly drowned by the tsunami of anticipation which is propelling you toward this Friday. Once you get over you abject joy (or lackadaisical indifference) of witnessing The Dark Knight Rises, where will you turn for your next escapist fix?

So, you’ve seen the movie and now you want to be an Avenger yourself. Well, today’s your lucky day, my fellow gamers! Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth will be coming to the Kinect and Wii U, providing as realistic a hero experience as humanly possible.
