Kotaku broke the news yesterday, and it was later confirmed across multiple sites. Marvel Heroes Omega, the free-to-play action RPG from Gazillion Entertainment, will come to an end on December 31.
Forget the usual opening text here, that song is in your head now, so just sing with me "doo doo doo DOOOOOOOOOOOO! doo doo doo DOOOOOOOOOOO!! AHHHH! AHHH!"
On Tuesday, the PlayStation 4 version of Marvel Heroes Omega officially kicked over from closed beta to open beta. The PlayStation 4 version of Marvel Heroes Omega has been in a "closed beta" for the past few weeks, but that comes to an end tomorrow, May 18. Gazillion kicked off the closed beta for Marvel Heroes Omega last Friday. "Closed," in this case, means that in order to get into the beta, you have to buy one of the six Founder's Packs, which range in price from $20 to $60. They also revealed a particularly nice feature that aligns with our interests: local co-op.
I've enjoyed Gazillion's action-RPG, free-to-play, loot grindfest, Marvel Heroes 2016, for some time over the past year and a half. The "Biggest Update Ever" this past January made, from my point of view, some welcome changes to the title, and also increased the speculation that a console port would be on its way. Last week, Gaz finally revealed that port as Marvel Heroes Omega.
