Thanks to a recent sale, the 2018 title Shadow of the Tomb Raider and its entire catalog of DLC could be had for around $10. So I jumped at the chance to check out the game, having mostly skipped its predecessor, Rise of the Tomb Raider. One thing the latest title added was the ability to play through tombs with a friend in co-op fashion. 

The first of several co-op DLCs arrived last week for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Dubbed "The Forge," everyone's favorite freebooter of sepulchers will face a number of fiery challenges as she explores a new challenge tomb and attempts to uncover the secrets of Kuwaq Yaku. The Forge can be played solo or with a friend online.

We've known for quite some time that Shadow of the Tomb Raider would have some sort of online cooperative mode, but now we're just starting to uncover the details of what it entails.
