Year 2 of Ubisoft's planned content updates for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands comes to a close today with Special Operation 4. This update includes a number of new goodies, like new PvP maps, a number of updates, and a whole new PvE mode called "Guerrilla." Yes, it is wave-based survival.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is pretty deep into its second year of scheduled content drops, much of which has been available at no cost to its players. Special Operation 3, a new themed co-op mission, will be no different when it arrives for free on December 11th.
And lo, the many brands bearing the guise of the late prophet Clancy shall intermingle amongst one another. With their intermingling will come so-called "crossover events", which shall usher in the first of the thirteen stages of the apocalypse.

Tomorrow, a big update will drop for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, officially kicking off their Year 2 content, that will add a special PvE mission for you and your Ghost squad to tackle. While the mission will be available in the game for the foreseeable future, there are special rewards you can only earn if you complete it within the next month.
Starting today and ending sometime early next month, you and your crew of elite Ghosts can face off against the deadliest hunter of all: the Predator. Ubisoft has added the iconic alien to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands today as a free special event, and if you manage to bring down the galaxy's deadliest hunter (until the xenomorphs from "Aliens" get added, that is), you'll earn some special gear.

Starting today and going until 11:59 PM PDT on Monday, October 16, you can form a squad of ghosts with up to four friends and take on the Santa Blanca drug cartel. If there is one thing I truly dislike about Ghost Recon Wildlands its the writing. The whole thing feels a bit too sophmoric for me. Perhaps I'm just getting curmudgin in my old age, I'm sure some folks find jokes about wooden cat legs being used for unspeakable acts as hilarious. Good news! Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is a game that sort of caught me off guard. After all, a tactical shooter doesn't often collide with an open world game. Though past games were more realistic, Wildlands often has more in common with a game like Mercenaries or Just Cause than its predecessors....
