Maybe we'll get a formal announcement now?

Remastered Version of Bulletstorm Gets Listed in Brazil

During this year's E3, a number of sites got a thumb drive loaded up with assets for a variety of Microsoft titles and discovered a folder on there called "Bulletstorm Remaster". No formal announcement was made about this and neither Microsoft nor the developer, People Can Fly, confirmed anything. A few days ago, a listing for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition appeared on a Brazilian ratings site, so it looks like the title will be coming sometime in 2017.

Bulletstorm Sequel Not Coming Anytime Soon

@#$%! Epic has stopped production on a Bulletstorm sequel. Developer People Can Fly were working on a follow-up to the ribald shooter before Epic bossmen moved them to a new project. We know that the game didn't meet sales expectations, even though it was widely praised by critics. The game failed to hit projected numbers, despite including early access to the Gears of War 3 beta.

Bulletstorm undersold expectations causing Epic to actually lose money on the title.

Bulletstorm Wasn't Profitable, But Epic Still Proud

Despite favorable reviews, including our own, Bulletstorm failed to sell well at retailers and online for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.  In fact it sold so poorly, that Epic Games, the game's publisher, actually lost money on the People Can Fly developed title.  According to some estimate that game sold around 300,000 copies - averaging about 100k per platform.

Bulletstorm DLC Now Available on PC

Bulletstorm's Gun Sonata DLC has finally rained down upon the PC.  The new content has two new Echo levels, "Guns of Stygia" and "Crash Site." There are three new stages for the game's four player Anarchy Mode, "Villa," "Sewers of Stygia," and  "Hotel Elysium."  This DLC was available on consoles a little over a month ago, and we posted our impressions of the entire Gun Sonata pack here.  We liked the DLC, and thought fans of the game would appreciate it, but it wouldn't interest gamers who had moved on to other titles.  You can download the Gun Sonata DLC on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or PC for $9.99.
