Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is the latest game in Activision's long-running military FPS series. With the release of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare being oh so long ago now, it seems due time for a pile of content - and oh what a pile of content it is. The first season of free content kicked off this week with a seasonal Battle Pass (which includes a free and premium track), four new multiplayer maps, two new weapons (RAM-7 assault rifle and Holger-26 LMG), a new multiplayer mode (Reinforce), two classic Special Ops experiences, and one new Special Ops experience.
As we get closer to the release of the latest Call of Duty release, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), we're getting some more information about what the cooperative "Spec Ops" mode will entail. Specifically, what players will be doing.

With the flurry of information that comes during E3 every year some nuggets of information can get skimmed over, and this particular one is pure gold. During the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare E3 Coliseum panel hosted by Geoff Keighley, members of the development team from Infinity Ward revealed that not only will the Special Operations (“Spec Ops” for short) return to the upcoming reimagining of the Modern Warfare series, but it will still feature co-op.
Activision and Infinity Ward today announced their latest entry in to the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Wait you say! That game came out in 2007! Don't be confused, this is a brand new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reimagined from the ground up - and a return to having a full fledged story based campaign for Call of Duty after skipping it last year.

Call of Duty Elite was introduced with the launch of Modern Warfare 3. The premium service for everything Call of Duty was Activision's experiment to extend the product outside the boundaries of the game while providing a premium service for fans of the series. It also provided regular content updates which were also sold as premium DLC to non-subscribers of the $60 service. For the most part, it seems Elite was successful, but perhaps it was a bit confusing and burdensome for the more casual player.

Activision is still pumping out content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Xbox 360 owners can now purchase "MW3 Collection 3" for 1200 MSP ($15). This collection has been tailored almost exclusively for co-op play. It features a new Special Ops Chaos mode, four new Special Ops missions, and three Face Off maps for the PvP lovers out there.
