You read that title correctly. Saints Row 2, the second entry in the Saints Row franchise, a title that is now 11 years old, will be receiving a patch on the PC before we know it. The update comes due to Volition, the Saint’s Row series developer, finally finding the source code for the PC version of the game, the port of which was handled by an outside studio. While this is both official and delightful news - especially the bit about co-op working now - the timeframe when the PC version will be patched and content added are still yet to be announced. With Volition also working on Saints Row 5, it could be some time before we see this come to fruition.

There's no shortage of outlets if you want to get a Saints Row fix these days. Last weekend brought a nice free weekend for Saints Row IV, and now Bundle Stars has a cheap bundle with Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third, complete with 17 pieces of DLC!

Wow. I'm glad I joined PlayStation Plus earlier this year. The $50 annual membership fee paid for itself in less than a month. The Instant Game collection offered a dozen free PSN and PS3 games in June. Now there's even more good news: Renegade Ops, Gotham City Imposters, and Pac-Man Championship DX have been added* to the collection of free titles.

Saints Row 2 celebrated its 2-year anniversary a few days ago, on October 14th. It was a game that we really liked, due to its awesome co-op options. To celebrate the event, Volition is giving away an extremely rare piece of memorabilia: a framed picture containing a poster of front cover of the game signed by nearly everyone on the Saints Row development team, a copy of the back cover of the game, and a game disc.
