Hard to believe, but Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was released exactly one year ago yesterday. What better way to celebrate the first year anniversary of the sandbox classic than to make a free set of birthday skins available to all players? That is exactly what Microsoft and Mojang have decided to do. Aptly titled the "1st Birthday Skin Pack," this particular skin pack will add an additional 23 skins to the already huge assortment of 319 skins that can be found in eight other packs. Here's a list of all of the skins that are included in the birthday bash:
• Sheep in a Suit
• Tamed Wolf
• Slime
• Mooshroom
• Villager
• Ender Dragon
• Blaze
• Creeper in a Steve Suit
• Steve in a Creeper Suit
• Birthday Present
• Birthday Cake
• Party Creeper in a Suit
• Party Iron Golem
• Party Squid
• Party Herobrine
• Party Steve
• Party Snow Golem
• Party Pig
• Party Enderman
• Party Cow
• Party Skeleton
• Party Zombie Pigman
• Birthday Cake Zombie
The skins are available now via the Xbox Live Marketplace. Yesterday, there was a direct link to them on the front page. While no time frame for the birthday skins were given, you might want to grab them just in case they are a limited time offer. Plus, they are free, and what's better than free content?
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is one of the finest cooperative games for the console. It allows for nearly limitless creativity, and can be played both online and locally. The Xbox 360 edition of the classic features cooperative play with up to eight players online, or four players locally. The game has also seen extensive revisions over the past year, thanks to an active and supportive developer.
