Painkiller: Hell and Damnation DLC Listed on Xbox Live Marketplace

No, the game isn't out yet.

Painkiller: Hell and Damnation may still be over a month away from debuting on consoles, but at least we can start buying DLC now! I know how much you guys appreciate shelling out your hard-earned cash for DLC before a game comes out. In all fairness to Heaven's Hitman, the demonic fantasy shooter was supposed to drop for the 360 and PS3 back in May.

Painkiller: Hell and Damnation originally launched on PC last October, so these three pieces of DLC have been available to mouse and keyboard jockeys for a few months. Each one adds some unique extras and features to the old school, Doom-y, gameplay.

The main game centers on Daniel Garner and his first person ballistic battle against demons, devils, zombies, and other assorted monsters as he tries to free, or rescue, or resurrect, his wife. I'm not really sure. Kill bad guys. Get the girl. What more do you need to know?

Oh, you want details? Fine. Here are all the precious details.

"Medieval Horror" Price: 320 MSP, or $4.

Expansion of Survival Mode: Players can now progress through maps in a similar manner to the campaign coop mode (i.e. It's no longer limited to a specific spot in a map/chapter). New Survival Mode: Boss Audience - players can now fight against bosses in survival mode; players need to cooperate and coordinate to defeat bosses by using environment traps and weapons New Boss and Multiplayer Skin: White Demon New Enemy and Multiplayer Skin: Assassin Greed (In remembrance of the famous assassin John P. Greed) Environmental Weapon: Parcel Gun - Use this device and shoot “organic” parcels at your foes to keep them at bay. New Tarot Card: Fear (“In case you’re surrounded by demons and fiends, fear not! Fear them!” – Ezukral III. ancestor of Belial) One Brand-new Multiplayer Map called “Inhumator” Three Popular Multiplayer Maps (Psycho, Illuminati, Chaos) remade to the HD versions and also available in classic mode

"The Clock Strikes Meat Night" Price: 560 MSP or $7.

Dual weapons power-up: That’s right, Daniel had steroids for breakfast over the past weeks. The following weapons are available for Akimbo in Singleplayer and Coop: Minigun, Shotgun, Stakegun, Electrodriver New Tarot Card: Health Stealer - Daniel is now leeching life out of his foes and you know what that means, right? This makes Daniel the Perpetuum Mobile of Death, that’s for sure. Expansion of the Singleplayer and Cooperative gameplay: new actions, secret areas, usable mechanisms, more enemy variations New Enemies: Loki, Ninja, Leper Monk New unique character set: Lepers (medieval zombies) New Environmental Weapon: Meat Mine (the head of a dismembered Leper explodes as a mine after being charged with Soul Catcher)

“It was horrible. There was this awful stench of demon flesh in the air and this blood-boiled maniac kept supercharging the cut off head of my mate until it exploded, sweeping dozens of others to their death. These images of savagery still haunt me in my dreams…” – Surviving demon of Daniel’s assault on the Old City

Two Singleplayer Maps expanded with content Asylum: Underground/sewers section of the size of the original map has been added to the level “Teleport to insanity”: after beating the level in the “original” way, Daniel is thrown into a maze of mirrors, teleporting him between various sections, leading to a massive outdoor slaughter-fest Bridge: Huge new Winter Town from the World War II era has been added to the original map Zombie soldiers and tanks are still on patrol Boss fight has been added. According to rumours it’s got something to do with gas tanks New gameplay elements: Cart-chase and cable railway now have to be fought actively One New Single-player Map (Town) remade and adapted - combat actions are rearranged, additional enemies (Templars) appear there

"Full Metal Rocket" Price: 320 MSP or $4.

Three classic multiplayer maps now shine in their HD glory including new gameplay options: Meatless, Blink, Mines suited for different modes (Survival, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag), featuring the new Survival mode style New Survival Mode: single player Survival mode with dedicated Leaderboards: play with limited ammo, and avoid being killed to gain access to weapon lockers and to proceed to the next area One new HD Survival map: Town One new HD map for all multiplayer modes: Prison New multiplayer skins: SS Zombie and Leper New enemies: Executioner and Beast New weapon for multiplayer mode: Mine

Side note: If you're a PC gamer you can find all these DLC packs and whole lot more available on sale from Steam for 50% off from now until July 22nd.

Painkilller: Hell and Damnation supports two player online co-op and two player local co-op. It will launch on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 30th.
