Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be getting some new items tomorrow, featured in the first DLC for the game: "Garden Variety Pack". Get even more bang for your buck at no cost to you.
Releasing on Tuesday, March 18th, players can enjoy a brand new map, game mode, and various upgrades towards abilities from PopCap and EA. The "Garden Variety Pack's" new map called "Chomp Town" will now bring the map count to around 6. It will feature an urban setting with loads of close-quarters sections for a fast-paced feel. The new 8 vs. 8 mode called "Gnome Bomb" tasks teams to attack and destroy one another's fortified garden or graveyard to win the game using a garden gnome with bomb strapped to it (very similar to Battlefield's "Obliteration" mode). Sorry guys, no new co-op features this time around.
In addition to these items, the DLC also includes 24 new ability upgrades between all classes, including: the Chomper's Super Good to lock enemies in place, the Sunflower's Solar Flare Beam, and the All-Star Zombie's Ultra Tackle maneuver. New Pirate Zombie types like the Map Pirate Zombie, who blocks blows using his treasure map, will appear in Sharkbite Shores and Porty Scallywag as well.
This is a totally free update for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC owners. Be sure to check out our co-op review of Garden Warfare if you haven't done so already!
