After lots of talk over the last several months, Iron Galaxy Studios, Gearbox Software and 2K have finally stamped a release time for the PS Vita port of Borderlands 2: May 2014. It's about a year and a half after the game's original release, but portability might just be worth the wait.
It's no secret that co-op in Borderlands and Borderlands 2 is the next best thing to heaven, even though we're explicitly told there ain't no heaven at the end of the first game. The Vita port preserves four player online co-op play and also happens to have a bunch of DLC ready to roll:
Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty Collector’s Edition Pack Mechromancer Character Class Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage Psycho Character Class Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1If, for some reason, you were worried about the Vita handling all the guns and bullets and piles of searchable skag vomit, a recent video shows the game running pretty smoothly on the handheld device.
Wipe the grid off your Vita's screen, Borderlands 2 will finally be released this May.
