As I scan my Disney's Frozen calendar I see that August is almost upon us and that can only mean another new set of free games for Gold members on Xbox One and 360. Co-Optimus have come to expect a co-op experience to be included and once again we can rejoice. Time to get our dragon on in Crimson Dragon.
As per usual Games with Gold is only open to those members of the not very exclusive Gold membership of 360 and One. You receive two games on the 360 and two on the One. I will allow Major Nelson to explain:
For the month of August, Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to two new free games on both Xbox One and Xbox 360. Crimson Dragon and Strike Suit Zero will become free downloads on August 1st, replacing current Xbox One Games with Gold titles Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. Now is a good time download those two if you haven’t already.
On Xbox 360, starting Friday, August 1st, Motocross Madness (normally US $9.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through August 15th.
Then on August 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Dishonored (normally US $19.99) for free through August 31st.
Crimson Dragon has its issues, but the newest update did include 3 player co-op and for free it is certainly worth checking out. Unlike the 360 games, Crimson will be available to download throughout August, but this does mean that the excellent Guacamelee will be removed from the Games with Gold offer on Thursday July 31st.
