Ubisoft and Ivory Tower's open world racing game The Crew is about to enter a new closed beta phase. From Nov 6 -10, Xbox One and PS4 owners can get their hands on the wheel for some cross-country co-op racing!
Originally scheduled to release on November 11, The Crew was recently pushed back to an early December release due to feedback from the first round of beta players in September. Some of theupdates include tweaks to the difficulty, better voice chat integration, the option to remove the HUD, and fine-tuning some of the collisions.
The beta may be closed, but that doesn't mean you can't get in. You can guarantee yourself a place in line by pre-ordering the game in North America, or you can add yourself to the waiting list and cross your fingers. Either way, it's nice to know the dev team is actually paying attention to beta feedback.
The second closed beta will allow players to race through the entire continental US, though challenges will only be available in two of the five regions: Midwest and East Coast. Competitive races and PvP lobbies will also be open during the beta. Co-op, as previously reported, isn't a separate mode or even an enforced feature in the game. If you have someone to cooperate with, that's awesome. Otherwise you're fine to go it alone.
