Only a couple weeks remain until "Havoc", the first of four planned Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC packs, is upon us. Along with increasing the map variety with 4 new competitive multiplayer maps, developers Sledgehammer have also expanded the game's weaponry in the form of the AE-4, a directed energy rifle.
What we're mostly concerned with, though, is grabbing every little bit of extra detail on the coveted new co-op mode and stuffing it directly into our gaping mind-maws. Exo Zombies, which was previously covered upon the release of its teaser trailer, will have its first chapter released in the "Havoc" pack. Sledgehammer doesn't look to be pulling any punches with the new mode either, as the cast of playable characters is voiced by a fairly stunning group which includes John Malkovich and Rose McGowan.
The new shotgun is admittedly pretty tempting. If I had to rate it on a scale of 1 to Forbidden Fruit, I'd give it about five glasses of bourbon. I'm also very interested to see what Sledgehammer is capable of story-wise with such a talented quartet of voices, especially given how well they employed Mr. Spacey in the main campaign.
Now, we've seen quite a bit about a zombie-infested future in terms of "ways to mutilate the formerly living", but let's not pretend we're not interested in the consequences these bionically souped up undead would have on the rest of society. For example, are the exo-zombies allowed to have their own basketball team? What is the polite way to decline an invitation to the brain devouring soiree your slack-jawed neighbor is throwing? Will Bill Paxton get to be in another Spy Kids movie? So many details are yet to be uncovered! Maybe we'll get our answer when the DLC drops onto Xbox Live on January 27th.
