Last week, we dipped our toes back into Streum On Studio's Space Hulk: Deathwing. We were interested in seeing how much the game has changed after the recent slew of updates, and we came away impressed and hopeful for where this thing is headed. Yesterday, the development team further improved the title with some graphics/UI enhancements and a new co-op class: the Chaplain.
The Interrogator Chaplain is the sixth playable class in the co-op mode and brings some (IMO) needed support skills for your Terminator squad, including an instant revive for any downed teammates, temporary invulnerability, and a way to temporarily reflect damage back at your attackers. Two new weapons, the melee-focused Purgatory sword and the ranged Stormbolter MK2, have been added as well. Along with these additions, some graphic tweaks and reworks have made the whole experience a lot smoother. Did I mention all of this is free if you own the game?
Despite the rocky launch, the continued updates have really improved upon the overall experience of the game. If you're interested in checking the title out on PC, now's as good a time as any as it's on sale for 40% off during the Steam-wide "Skulls for the Skull Throne" sale, which includes a number of other co-op Warhammer titles like Total War: WARHAMMER and Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide and ends at 1:00 PM EDT on Monday, July 24.
