Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection is a massive collection of games and bonus content from Atari and Digital Eclipse. The collection already boasts over 100 classic games, 9 of which are co-op, but it's about to get even bigger. On December 5, the free "Holiday Content" update will add 12 more games. What's more, Atari plans to release more updates in the future.
The 12 games that will soon be added haven't been named yet, but here's what we know:
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration’s holiday update brings 12 new titles to the anthology, giving novice gaming historians an even deeper look into the legacy of the grandfather of the gaming industry. A mix of prototypes, homebrews, and official titles, this new update seeks to expand the library of the interactive virtual museum Atari 50 brought to players in 2022.
Will any of those games support co-op? Will we get more Lynx and Jaguar games? We'll find out when the "Holiday Content" update arrives on Tuesday, December 5. Beyond that, Atari promises multiple future updates that will include both games and behind-the-scenes content.
