Last year, Outright Games announced that it would be creating a game based on TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, the hit animated movie. However, the publisher known for its licensed games revealed absolutely no other details at the time: not the title, the player count, or anything. This year, perhaps inspired by Game Mill's recent TMNT game announcement, Outright has finally revealed that their game will be called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, and it will support 2-player local co-op.
Details about Mutants Unleashed are still fairly scarce, but we do know that it won't be a beat 'em up. That differentiates it from TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and the upcoming TMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants. The game looks to be a 3D action platformer, perhaps in the same vein as Outright Games' Jumanji: Wild Adventures. Also different is that this one will only support 2-player co-op rather than 4-players like most other recent TMNT titles. The developer is A Heartful of Games, the maker of Heart & Slash, a very good action game from 2016.
Outright's Mutants Unleashed will feature:
Join Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey in stopping a formidable new wave of mutants Unlock the ancient secrets of ninjutsu as the Turtles face their toughest battle yet Explore the city, sewers, and skyscrapers of NYC solo or in two player local co-op Battle through NYC's five boroughs, each containing their own unique personality paying homage to the 2023 filmTMNT: Mutants Unleashed will arrive on consoles and PC in Q4 of 2024, and it will cost $39.99.
