2016's Lost Castle is a pretty good action RPG from Singapore-based Hunter Studio. 8 years later, Lost Castle 2 is finally arriving on Steam Early Access. The sequel sports improved graphics, lots of equipment to find, and 4-player online play. It looks really promising, and it will arrive on July 25.
Features:
An action-roguelike teeming with tempting treasures - Discover a land hidden by mountains and filled with loot, in an action-packed beat ‘em-up roguelike for 1-4 players.
Hundreds of weapons and armor to collect - Equip yourself with powerful loot and discover your preferred playstyle, test your combat skills against an army of enemies and powerful bosses.
Treasure hunt alone or team up with friends - Take on the Dark Castle as a solo adventurer or join forces with other players in 2-4 player online co-op.
Interestingly, Lost Castle 2 will not have local co-op, which the first game did have. Perhaps this one requires the team to split up at times, something that would be hard to do in local multiplayer without a split-screen feature. At any rate, the new game looks like it will be good fun in online co-op.
Lost Castle 2 will come to Steam on Thursday, July 25. The first game eventually came to PlayStation and Switch, so this one has a good chance of doing so in the future as well.
