Heat Goes Cold...For Now.

Action, Violence, and a team (co-op?) experience. That's what many of us ask for in a game, and that's what could have happened in a video game version of Heat. Gearbox Studios, the awesome guys responsible for the highly anticipated Borderlands, almost had Heat on lockdown. Unfortunately, when asked about the project, the disappointing answer was:

"In a nutshell, we're nowhere."

As the licensing has been taken care of, but Gearbox is just a bit too busy, they've extended an invitation to some developer that may have the means to make this possible. We just have one request: Give us Co-op!

"[Gearbox is] not keeping the IP locked down anymore ... if somebody else were in a spot where they could do it, and everybody was comfortable with that, then conceivably that could happen."

We're hoping to hear some publisher say, in the great words of Donald Breedan: "Ain't a hard time been invented that I cannot handle."
