Colony of Gamers' Game of the Year Awards
You’ve probably checked out Co-Optimus’ Game of the Year Awards (with Fitty taking a prominent position). Now sister site Colony of Gamers has their 2nd Annual Game of the Year Awards (affectionately called The Coggies) up. There’s a few more categories (27!) and a lot of work went into getting to this point.
We started by having the Readers make the nomination lists by nominating games in each category. Then we went through 2 weeks of voting, finally culminating yesterday with separate Editor and Reader awards. In many places we agreed, in some others there were vast differences. Enjoy the awards and please feel free to comment if you like.

Mega Man 10 Announced for WiiWare, XBLA and PSN March 2010
Another Mega Man game is on the way…woohoo! Taking the difficulty of Mega Man 9 into account, it is sounding like Capcom will give us an Easy mode with this release. I should really pick up 9 at some point, I’ve played a bit of it and it was pretty hard. Love the series and it is good to see Capcom have success with the last game to make this one.

Assassin's Creed II DLC Detailed
The two DLC packs have been priced and more information has been unveiled on them. First off, my call on this filling in the two missing chapters was correct. The first pack will cost $3.99 and the second one will cost $4.99. With each you are requested to have 1GB open, so these are rather large DLCs. The good news is that they are also relatively cheap. Good job Ubisoft!

Colony of Gamers Child's Play Drive (w/Raffle Prizes)
I’ve forgotten about noting this since it started. Colony of Gamers is running a Child’s Play Drive where we hope to raise $5,000 by January 2nd, all of which will go directly to the cause. With every $10 donated you get one raffle ticket into the giveaways. We have things from Twisted Pixel, Naughty Dog and even from our own stash of items. You can check out all the things at the link below and please donate. We’re almost to $2,000 with a bit to go. Thanks much.

Happy Holidays
I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays as we move into the holiday week. This column, at least from my perspective, will be taking a break for two weeks since I will be out of town both weekends. Nick may do posts himself, that’s up to him. Enjoy your (hopeful) time off and play lots of games both co-op and other ways.
