Here are a couple of back-to-back rumors from the last couple of weeks, both of which could possibly bode well for co-op gamers: Treyarch is supposedly hard at work on Call of Duty: Black Ops - the seventh in the series - and according to lawsuit paperwork from Activision, what's left of Infinity Ward is pushing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 through pre-production.
A new Modern Warfare could push the series deeper into meh territory, or it could raise the bar for co-op; that's all variable. What's more interesting to me is that the rumors contend that Treyarch just won't let go of zombie-killing co-op: according to the same source that spilled the Black Ops subtitle, some variant of Nazi Zombies is expected to show up again. One might say it's being reanimated.
