A while ago we caught wind of a sequel to the successful, yet under appreciated PS3 game Valkyria Chronicles. Now, we have a few screenshots of Valkyria Chronicles 2, which will be a PSP exclusive.
The first Valkyria Chronicles was not a co-op game, but was still widely accepted by your staff here at Co-optimus. The basic premise of the game is a small countryside is under attack from a large millitary force. It's up to you and your team of various classed allies to seek the truth behind the invasion, and push out the enemy force. The game plays a bit like an stealth-action game that met Final Fantasy: Tactics, fell in love, and made one beautiful baby.
As a direct sequel to the original game, Valkyria Chronicles 2 will also be an action strategy RPG game, which can only be described as "original." Adding co-op will change the dynamic and tactics in the game, but the overall feel of moving your characters, locking them down, and taking care of the invading forces will keep you entertained for hours.
For now, all we've seen from E3 is the screenshots, and the game has another year before the release. Hopefully we'll have more details as the transfer over to English occurs.
