It’s about time Earthworm Jim HD makes its way over to the Playstation Network. In his high-def form, Earthworm Jim has been on the Xbox LIVE Arcade for, well, quite some time. European PSN users can get their Jim on at any time now, and within the week U.S. PSN will also have their hands on that super suit, with some pretty interesting co-op I might add.
The Playstation Blog is happy to announce that the squirmy hero will land on PSN state-side on August 3rd, complete with the co-op we kind-of enjoyed, complete with a whole new co-op campaign as it was seen on the Xbox LIVE arcade. The co-op experience? Well...
"Team up with four other "Jims" through a dozen or so co-op specific levels. Players need to complete co-op puzzles to progress."
Earthworm Jim hails from a time before, where 16bit gaming was "super" and the Genesis roamed the wild bedrooms of gamers everywhere. Since then, Jim's platforming quirk, strange adventures, and expansive landscapes have gone by the wayside - until now. It's good to see Jim back, and now his transition to HD is complete as he makes his way to the Playstation Network.
