Torchlight 2 Developer Interview

Our friends over at Immortal Machines were lucky enough to sit down with several Runic developers including Max and Eric Schaefer, Jason Beck and PR guru Wonder Russel.  The IM guys took questions from the CoG community and presented them to the developers in shotgun fashion.

Bioshock Infinite Trailer

Irrational Game's "Project Infinite" has been unveiled.  Much to everyone's surprise it's actually a Bioshock game, but not a game like you'd think.  We'll just let the trailer speak for itself.

Realtime Worlds in Trouble

Realtime Worlds, the original creators of Crackdown and recent developers of MMO APB are in a bit of trouble.  After announcing a new project called My World, which looks like a cross between Second Life and social networking, they've let what is rumored as many as 60 staff go. The reason?  Redundancy.

Further to the press release issued on the 7th July announcing the post-launch restructure for APB and expected redundancies, the 30-day consultation period with the affected staff has ended. The supporting infrastructure for a game inevitably changes once released, and those staff that couldn’t be redeployed to new projects in the Art, Audio, Coding, Design, Production, and QA departments have regrettably been made redundant,” said RTW in a just-issued statement.“APB continues to be our primary development focus, and we remain fully committed to the game and its players.

Hopefully everything works out, Realtime says they are still committed to APB.
