Red Dead Redemption Update Eliminates Grief

Rest easy, cowpokes - a new title update is live for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Red Dead Redemption. Among other things, this update adds a new Free Roam mode to the playlist: Friendly Free Roam.  What exactly is so "friendly" about the new mode? Well, the main draw is that player-to-player damage is completely eliminated. Yes, we know all too well how to properly deal with griefers...but that's downright unneighborly.

If Free Roam is still too bland for you, keep reading to see the latest Undead Nightmare trailer. Sure, you've seen about a half dozen of those already...but you haven't seen this one.

I don't think it's possible to be any more excited about what Red Dead Redemption has become. Free Roam is finally rounded out into a true open world experience with tons of co-op opportunities, and the already epic lore of the campaign is getting an odd but epic twist tomorrow.

If you haven't already invested yourself into this game, Rockstar will be giving newcomers the unique chance to play Free Roam - and all of the DLC that entails - as a standalone game without the campaign. The Undead Nightmare retail disc will ship on December 1st.
