Just a friendly reminder for those of you who already purchased Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Online Co-op is going live tomorrow on October 27th. To sweeten the deal, and probably to remind you that the game still exists, the first downloadable content for the game is free to Xbox LIVE subscribers.
We really liked Guardian of Light as an overall game and for the co-op experience, giving the game a 4.5 out of 5 for both categories. After many delays, the online component of co-op play is finally here. Now what about that free DLC?
According to Darrell Gallagher, General Manager of Crystal Dynamics,
We’re delighted the Online Co-op is ready and going live – as a thank you to the patient Xbox gamers, and for a limited time only we will be giving away our first DLC pack for free. Download it, have a go and while you’re there try the online co-op mode, it’s great fun.
The first DLC, of which there are five, is titled 'All the Trappings' and will be available to Xbox Live users for free for the next 30 days.
The pack offers up a brand new area to conquer and features a combination of puzzle, exploration and combat experiences.
It seems as of right now, if you haven't purchased the game yet, the DLC will still be free for the next 30 days on XBLA. Let us know if this is not the case. Crystal Dynamics promises that online co-op and DLC update for the PS3 and PC versions will be "coming soon." Stay tuned for more details to follow.
