League of Legends Launches Co-Op Mode

Riots Games have announced that League of Legends has added an online co-op mode.  While the game has always had the ability to play in co-op, this marks the first time the developer has created a brand new match making playlist with a focus on co-op.  The mode allows up to five players to band together to take on the PC in single matches and earn experience and other items for their character.

To go along with the co-op mode, Riot Games have added new bots for players to challenge with their friends.

The new bots feature completely rebuilt artificial intelligence that will prove a challenge to more experienced summoners. The new assortment of smarter Champions – including Renekton, Ashe, Miss Fortune, Soraka, Cho'Gath and many more – can now be challenged by a team of players looking to hone their skills or practice with new Champions. Available now with two levels of difficulty, the new AI will surprise summoners with coordinated teamwork and advanced tactics.

League of Legends is a Defense of the Ancients type game that's free to play.  Defense of the Ancients was a popular mod for Warcraft 3.  I gave the game a go tonight to check out the co-op play, and I gotta say, it's pretty addictive.  The whole RPG element combined with the fast past action is a ton of fun - plus you can't beat the price.
