XBLA games don't always receive simultaneous worldwide releases. Case in point, Trenched was released in North America on June 22, but still hasn't hit European shores. Thankfully that will soon be rectified as Trenched will come to Europe in September under the name Iron Brigade.
According to Joystiq, the reason for the change is a dispute involving a European board game titled Trench. Sure, the two games look absolutely nothing alike and they’re not exactly the same title, but apparently the similarities in name were enough to warrant the change to Iron Brigade.
Trenched/Iron Brigade is a fusion of third-person shooter with real-time strategy in which players take giant mechs known as trenches into battle. Our review praises its “writing, artwork and character design” and pretty much everything else too. The game supports four-player online co-op and is available now in the US for 1200 Microsoft Points.
