I still consider myself a PC gamer. Though I now own several consoles and handhelds, my heart still has a special fondness for the good old mouse-and-keyboard set-up attached to an upgradable rig. The sad truth, however, is that many developers don't share my fondness for the PC. What used to be staples of games on PC (like dedicated servers and LAN support) are often cut out (which results in much nerd rage, believe you me).
Now stay with me, this isn't all sad pandas - there's good news here. The upcoming Modern Warfare game, Modern Warfare 3, will have LAN support and dedicated servers. Orly? Yarly! Furthermore, players will be able to customize various settings on their LAN servers (e.g. banning certain weapons, perks, etc.). I'm not a huge CoD fan, but I'm certainly pumped that developers are showing PC gamers a little more love in the next generation of FPS games.
