Cowabunga dude! Remember the tubular-talking, pizza eating, crime fighting team of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? In case you didn't, or are too young to remember the good ol' days of anthropomorphic crime fighters, it looks like Activision is going to give you a little reminder.
Activision has partnered with Nickelodeon, as seen from pictures during the most recent Toy Fair. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a new TMNT game is in the works. The last iteration of our heroes in a half shell was done by Ubisoft Singapore, who didn't exactly knock it out of the park with Turtles In Time: Reshelled. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles license saw its best years in the early '90's, so I definitely think it is time for a resurgence from the sewer.
There hasn't been a ton of licensed co-op beat 'em ups lately and TMNT would fit perfectly into this mold. I'm thinking a Marvel Ultimate Alliance feel, but have four players playing as co-operative turtles. Activision's superhero titles are pretty hit or miss, so I'm hoping that they take their time and do this one right, lest my childhood nostalgia be shattered.
