It was an eventful week in America. We now know who our next president will be, and you know what that means? No more friggin political commercials. Thank Billy! On the gaming front there was a few interesting tidbits out there, as there's still a few AAA titles on the horizon before Black Friday in the US.

Sony's other big FPS that hits early next year has just hit beta. Emails went out to PlayStation Underground members this week, so be sure to check those inboxes. We'd love to see co-op in this one, but so far Sony has been pretty hush hush.

Mirror's Edge launches next week on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. If you haven't played the demo, watch the above video and promptly head to your favorite download location and snag the demo. Immediately after completing this first person action game, I knew I needed to get my hands on it's smooth graphics, slick gameplay, and sexy lead character. Wait...that sounded dirty. You know what I mean.
Sega has announced Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 which features 40 classic Sega titles up scaled to 720p output - all for $30. The collection has the best RPG ever on it, Phantasy Star II, so it should be an instant purchase. The full list is available at Joystiq.

We've got some interesting Street Fighter news. First up, if you own Pinball FX for the Xbox Live Arcade, there's a new Street Fighter table coming to the game. And looking at the screenshots for it, it's totally hot.
In other news, the long delayed Street Fighter HD Turbo Remix for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network appears very close to release with tons of new media coming out this week. Rumor on the street is we should see this within the next 2 weeks.
Sony has filed a patent for a new motion and sound based controller. According to the patent, the controller would actually utilize the PlayStation Eye camera and microphone to determine spacial positioning. Of course Sony is denying that this means an actual product is coming, they are merely protecting their intellectual property and inventions.
