Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena gets Multiplayer
If you never played the Xbox/PC game, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, you truly missed out on one of the best movie video games ever. The good news is the game is being remade with an additional 10 hour singleplayer campaign and multiplayer. Yes, multiplayer. The one thing that original game was missing is now added with all that pizazz. The "Lights out" mode sound incredibly interesting in which it's everyone vs. Riddick who can see in the dark.

Rise of the White Wolf Teaser Trailer
Rise of the White Wolf is the console version of the PC RPG The Witcher. For many folks, the Witcher is the best RPG to hit the PC in years, so it's no surprise that a console version is on the way. The new game features a brand new combat system design for the gamepad. Look for this one next fall.

Midway Sold for 100K
Oh Midway, how far you've fallen. From Joust to Gauntlet, and Mortal Kombat there after, Midway has had a long and storied past. But I think this story takes the cake. Due to financial issues the company was sold for a mere 100k to an investor. Yes, less than the cost of most houses in the US. Shortly after the sale there begun a 50 day countdown to bankruptcy. Lets hope these folks can bounce back.

Pioneer Creates 400GB Blu-Ray, Could Work on PS3
Pioneer has created a 400GB Blu-Ray disc that utilizes 16 layers. This technology is compatibile with most current drives, including Sony's PlayStation 3. Current Blu-Ray discs in retail cap out at around 30GB. This could mean even bigger games - and of course - it could mean longer load times as the laser switches between those 16 layers.

Mirror's Edge DLC On the Way
Mirror's Edge has some unique DLC on the way in the form of time trials. But that's not what makes them unique, what's unique is the fact they are set in this pseudo abstract world of boxes and shapes - no city here. Look for this DLC soon to set you back $10.
