Almost a year after release, it looks like Mass Effect 3 is still going to be getting more DLC. A recent patch for the game has unearthed details of a new co-op DLC pack that twists the current formula, incorporating single player progress into six new co-op story missions.
The character traits that are said to be brought into theDLC includes - Paragon/Renegade standing, story decisions, and reputation - how exactly they will play a role in the co-op DLC is unclear. Data miners were able to pull out descriptions and more information from the latest patch which made reference to the content, simply called Reckoning.
The day of reckoning is nigh! The Reckoning Multiplayer Expansion brings six new never before seen co-op story missions to the game and new co-op gameplay modes. It provides four new maps to conquer and hazard variations of the Earth maps. It also enables reinforcement packs that offer new kits for the salarians, krogans, humans and volus. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons (Chakram Launcher, Blood Pack Punisher and Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle).
Obviously right now this is firmly in the rumor column, nothing has been officially announced. But the chances of something like this not coming are slim, it's just a matter of when and how much.
Mass Effect 3 features four player online co-op on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Nintendo Wii U.
