Upon clearing the ninth layer of the Labyrinth of Chaos, players can now unlock Ultimate difficulty. Like the other difficulties, Ultimate difficulty can be selected at the Temple. When in Ultimate difficulty, the "Tower of Mirages," a new randomly-generated dungeon, can be explored. The random generation purportedly adds tens of thousands of level possibilities to shoot, stab, and blast your way through.

You've already drooled over the artwork (and not necessarily because of those, erm, thighs), might as well pick up the game, yes? Just a few months after launch, Vanillaware's 2.5D beat-em-up Dragon's Crown gets a tempting discount to lure more players in. The sale puts the PS3 version at $39.99 and the PS Vita version at $29.99, which is definitely a fair price, especially when you factor in co-op action. The Storyteller Voice Pack and Into the Labyrinth theme also get a little price decrease and are currently available for $1.49 each.

The biggest feature is the ability to join random co-op games in the Labyrinth of Chaos dungeon. This randomly generated dungeon with nine floors offers players access to unique loot, so the addition of finding random co-op partners is much welcomed. The other welcomed fix is a better handling of network disconnects, ensuring players don't lose as much progress as before.

I'd like to thank all the Japanese players who did not abandon my game and aided me in my quest to take care of that thing with the stuff. As the projected launch date of August 6th inches ever closer, we have been receiving a steady stream of artwork, screens, and trailers to keep your eyes fixated on the prize. The latest trailer is a four-minute long video chocked full of information, in game footage, and amazing artwork. The only catch is that the information is all in Japanese. Even without knowing Japanese, some of the video is pretty self-explanatory. It looks like there will be tons of loot to collect, and lots of in-game extras to unlock.
