Some of us just can't get enough of Remnant: From the Ashes, so we decided to dive once more into Gunfire Games' action-RPG for our weekly "Let's Play Co-Op" stream. Mike, Locke, and Jason try to convince Nick that this really is the Dark Souls game for him. His response is above.
The first and second free content updates for Gunfire Games' Remnant: From the Ashes arrive today to give you more reasons (wait, you needed more?) to check out this excellent third-person action RPG. In addition to a new Earth dungeon that will randomly be shuffled into the mix each time you start/re-roll a campaign, you can check out all there is to offer in the different worlds of Remnant without having to start a new campaign thanks to the new Adventure Mode.

Gunfire Games' Remnant: From the Ashes has been out for two days now, and initial reviews are quite favorable. In part that's due to the difficulty of the encounters in the game, which requires players to come up with some interesting ways of dealing with whatever gets thrown at them. The other part is tackling those encounters with friends (or strangers). A recent interview with Mike Maza, Principal Designer at Gunfire Games, sheds a little light on how the team approached co-op.
Gunfire Games' next title is a "third-person survival action shooter" that appears to blend looting, shooting, and crafting with a little bit of Dark Souls. Titled Remnant: From the Ashes, the game was first announced last July, but IGN recently go some hands-on time with it to show off the cooperative nature. I'm definitely liking what I'm seeing so far.
